Motif

An open-cylinder is twisted forming a soft pocket around the light. One edge closes tightly creating a seam while the opposing edge remains open letting light pour out. The directional texture on the surface of the lamp hints at its original primitive form.

Bio
Julian Gregory is a designer based in Toronto, Ontario, originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. He uses a material and process driven approach to play with the overlooked properties of the physical world. Through his work, he seeks to frame the poetic gestures and inspiration found in seemingly ordinary objects.
