Regarded as one of Québec's most celebrated tables, Côté Est, housed within a former presbytery in Kamouraska, offered us a rare terrain for creation within its space reimagined by Atelier Filz.
Our bespoke design team was entrusted with the conception and development of the lighting series, in collaboration with Québec artisans. Our longtime collaborators at Baba Jaga hand-blew the frosted glass globes, while the ceramic studio A&J Métissage, based in the region, hand-shaped the clay bases for the table lamps and the pendant shades, finished matte above and glossy, reflective below.
Drawn from the Saint Lawrence River and the surrounding landscape, the forms and tones stand in harmony with the heritage held within the building's restored architecture.
