Available Openings

The person who occupies this position participates in all the stages related to the production of Lambert & Fils’ luminaire collections. The first three months, they are supported by the training team to learn all the skills required to produce high-end design objects with care and precision.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble the luminaires according to the best manufacturing practices for high-end objects and according to the required production schedule
  • Organize and prepare the necessary material in the finishing of its assembly parts
  • Ensure the electrical safety of the assemblies made
  • Use portable tools such as a drill and a hand polisher
  • Perform quality checks to ensure production meets our high quality standards
  • Perform all work in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean and safe work space
  • Pack the luminaires according to the high quality standards established by Lambert & Fils

Qualifications:

  • Be comfortable in a manufacturing workshop environment where the use of basic tools is part of your everyday routine
  • Possess manual dexterity and a sense of detail
  • Thoroughness, attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Punctuality

Requirements:

  • Experience in a relevant field: 1-3 years
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training or apprenticeship will be an asset
  • Ability to use basic tools an asset
  • Knowledge of the properties of metal and other materials an asset

Type of employment:

  • Full-time and permanent: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing purchase orders, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring the quality control of received materials and parts. This role focuses on optimizing procurement processes to ensure a continuous flow of materials essential for production while meeting cost, quality, and delivery requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Order Management & Supplier Follow-up: Oversee the entire purchase order process, from issuance to receipt, and maintain close follow-up with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Supplier Negotiation & Contract Management: Negotiate purchasing conditions, prices, and contracts with key suppliers, seeking opportunities to optimize costs while maintaining quality standards.
  • Quality Control of Received Materials: Collaborate with the quality team to verify compliance of delivered parts and materials, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Inventory Optimization: Work closely with the warehouse manager to regularly monitor inventory levels, preventing stock shortages while minimizing excess inventory, ensuring materials are available as needed without unnecessary overstock.
  • Procurement Needs Forecasting: Collaborate closely with the production team to anticipate material needs based on production forecasts and cycles.
  • ERP Data Management: Maintain up-to-date procurement information in the ERP system, ensuring accuracy in quantities, prices, and delivery dates.
  • Performance Monitoring: Achieve performance objectives related to cost reduction, procurement lead time optimization, and efficient inventory management.

DESIRED PROFILE

  • Relevant experience in procurement, purchasing management, or a related function.
  • Strong negotiation skills and supplier relationship management experience.
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in computer tools and experience with ERP systems (a plus).
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
  • Strong prioritization skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
