Caffè Populaire

April 09–14, 2019
Milan Design Week

Lambert & Fils and DWA Design Studio presented Caffè Populaire: a six-day concept Caffè bringing people and design into dynamic encounters through the essentiality of food. During Fuorisalone 2019, the duo transformed a Milanese defunct panettone factory—into a café-bar inviting people to gather around a common table to share food and ideas.

Lambert & Fils invited DWA Design Studio to reimagine the venue as a multisensory space filled with installations from a collective of international talent in order to showcase their two latest contemporary lighting collections: Sainte and Hutchison. Dramatic forms fill the rooms of the factory and create a conversation of opposites—raw and refined, past and present.
