Available Openings

Assemblers participate in all aspects related to the production of our lamps. During the first three months, the employee will be under the apprenticeship of our training manager. After three months he/she will graduate to assembler and can eventually ascend to a position of senior assembler.

Lambert & Fils is looking for a showroom assistant for its New York City showroom. Candidates should be self-motivated and have strong organization skills to help assist its sales team with administrative functions and welcome clients. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and strong time management are needed. The ideal candidate must possess a positive attitude that thrives on a busy showroom atmosphere, a solid work ethic and a desire to learn as well as be part of a team.


  • Set a high standard of warmth and professionalism in welcoming clients, vendors and colleagues;
  • Provide phone support, assisting callers with essential questions about the brand and product (i.e. brand history, collections, finishes, pricing, lead times, etc.;)
  • Support the New York showroom with basic account and email management;
  • Lead studio tours for virtual and walk-in clients, tailoring the visit to the clients’ needs;
  • Manage general opening and closing duties (preparing showroom for walk-throughs, lighting levels, furniture placement, etc.);
  • Report any operational issues (heat, water, etc.;)
  • Maintain stock levels of water, paper, business cards, etc.;
  • Assist with shipping and receiving for showroom items


  • Strong aesthetic and presentation skills with a keen eye for detail;
  • Natural interpersonal skills, being at ease with people;
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively (verbally and written); ability to delegate and drive for results.

  • Proven showroom, sales, or sales assistant experience or similar client-facing role.

  • Part time showroom hours: around 15 hours per week
  • Flexible weekday schedule and Saturdays from 10AM – 4PM (longer hours and additional weekend availability as needed)

Packaging and shipping clerk

Reporting to the shipping team manager, packaging and shipping clerks participate in all stages of packing and shipping our lamps. As the last team to handle our lamps before our customers do, its role is crucial to maintaining Lambert & Fils’ quality standards.

Their main responsibilities are:

  • Final quality control of lamps: verification from all angles and final cleaning
  • Careful packaging of all parts (lamp, instructions, gloves, etc.)
  • Tracking domestic and international carriers
  • Revision of estimates for special items (events, press, etc.)
  • Preparation of bills of lading and customs documents
  • Documentation, review and improvement of the workflow
  • Keeping the shipping area clean and well organized
  • Inventory management, order and reception and storage
  • Occasional balancing of the production team’s workload
  • Workflow management with verification and production

  • Manual skill, must have a penchant for DIY!
